| No one gives a flying fuck where anything sold by SPL or branded as SPL is actually made. I couldn't care less if they were made in an Ugandan opium house during mardi gras, they arent xeroxes of other people's designs (a destructive practice that only carries short-term incredibly short-sighted "benefits"). It just so happens that Chinese manufacturers have a rep for making low quality crap, because the majority of crap coming out of there is exactly that, low quality, slave-labor produced crap for people who dont know any better....THAT enables unethical types like your heros at AMS to prey on dimwits such as yourself who are so Walmart-ized that you wouldnt know quality if it bit you on the ass. Step one: take well designed, quality product
Step two: find chinese production mill willing/able to reproduce something that looks the same or similar (so that any diminished actual quality of design, or materials, isnt apparent to people who don't know any better) and reduce cost of production in any way possible (easy to do with cheaper material and slave-labor)
Step three: market product as equal-to-or-better than original and undercut competitors price while enjoying margin profits leaps beyond what a legitimate producer/designer can enjoy results: Explosive expansion in market presence and operation size by a relatively unknown, small-time operation operating within a shrinking market. You can be someone with a brain who thinks objectively and this will be obvious to you, or you can be an ego-saddled fanboy who refuses to acknowledge the plain-as-day obvious to an extent we havent seen since the days of Baghdad Bob denying US forces were within Baghdad city limits as fighting broke out down the street in the background. What makes it even more sad is that you feel compelled to come here and embarass yourself by arguing with people. At least Baghdad Bob had sense enough not to fly to the US and hold a press conference to inform us that we were being defeated. /facepalm
